The City reserves the right to add or delete individual components subject to availability of funds.

Bidders interested in submitting a response to this solicitation are required to be registered in the City's online procurement system, WebProcure. Additional Payment Information - Vendors shall be aware that invoicing shall be accepted only from the contractor as listed on the bid form and subsequent purchase order. Invoices not meeting this requirement shall be discarded.
Additional Information
It shall be the responsibility of the bidder to assure that the information is furnished completely and thoroughly addresses all of the specifications contained herein. All furniture, parts and material shall be new, unused, manufacturer's latest model and in current production. Bidders are required to submit complete detailed descriptive and technical literature on each item proposed, warranty, grade, color samples, material samples, and all information requested herein with the bid response. Failure to do so may result in the bid being rejected as non-responsive.'>All information in a bidder's proposal and the subsequent contract is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. 1976 no.442, as amended, MCL 15.231 or latest revision thereof.

It shall be the responsibility of the bidder to assure that the information is furnished completely and thoroughly addresses all of the specifications contained herein. Pre-Bidders Conference Vendors may attend the pre-bid meeting on January 21, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at 300 Monroe Avenue NW, Fifth Floor, Grand Rapids, MI, conference room #519 South, after which time a site visit will follow. An on-site inspection for verification of scope of project and measurements shall be completed by each bidder at the time of the pre-bid meeting only. Bidders shall be held to have examined the premises and satisfied himself/herself as to the areas, products and services required which he/she shall be obligated to provide, or that in any way affects the work under this contract. No allowance shall be made on behalf of the contractor for any negligence on his/her part.
Scope of Work It is the intent of these specifications to solicit responses to furnish and install new systems furniture, desks, chairs, and related items for the Grand Rapids Engineering Department, located at 300 Monroe Avenue NW, 5th Floor, Grand Rapids, MI. Acceptable manufacturers include the following: Steelcase, Haworth, Herman Miller and Trendway. Manufacturers product lines shall meet the specifications as contained herein (please see “Basis of Design Product” for each product).

The items proposed to be furnished shall be new, unused, and shall conform in strength, quality of workmanship and material to that which is usually provided by the trade in general. Any variance from the specifications shall be clearly documented in writing by the bidder.
Special Requirements Any formal requests for clarification, questions, or additional information regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing no later than 2:00 P.M. EST January 27, 2016, per the following contact information:
