Additional Delivery Information - All shipments shall be F.O.B. delivered, freight included, to the City of Grand Rapids department. F.O.B. terms other than "F.O.B. delivered" shall not be accepted.
Description https://webprocure.perfect.com/Login'> Bids are requested for a one-year term contract with four, one-year renewal options for complete janitorial services for various City of Grand Rapids commercial and industrial buildings which shall include a comprehensive "Green Clean" and "Zero Waste" programs, as per the specifications contained herein. The City reserves the right to split the award to multiple vendors if it deems it in its own best interest to do so. The City reserves the right to award any single item and/or any combination of items as it deems in its own best interest.

Bidders interested in submitting a response to this solicitation are required to be registered in the City's online procurement system, WebProcure. All solicitation information and documents shall be available to vendors registered in WebProcure system. Payment Terms Net 30 Days
Additional Payment Information - Vendors shall be aware that invoicing shall be accepted only from the contractor as listed on the bid form and subsequent purchase order. Invoices not meeting this requirement shall be discarded.

Bidders are required to submit references as required, complete the questionnaire and all information requested herein with the bid response. It shall be the responsibility of the bidder to determine the correct procedures and to furnish the correct operations based upon the item description and specifications provided. Pre-Bidders Conference Pre-Bid Meeting/On-Site Inspection: All bidders are required to attend the pre-bid meeting and on-site inspection for verification of scope of project for each work location/section that the bidder is submitting a bid response. Failure to attend the pre-bid meeting/on-site inspection will result in rejection of the bid as non-responsive. Bidders shall sign in at each location. Bidders shall be held to have examined the premises and satisfied himself/herself as to the areas, products, and services required which he/shall be obligated to provide, or that in any way affects the work under this contract. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection, on behalf of the Contractor for any negligence on his/her part. The pre-bid meeting and on-site inspection shall take place on March 22, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at 201 Market Avenue SW, 2nd Floor, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Please plan on the pre-bid meeting and on-site inspections lasting until approximately 4:00 p.m.
Scope of Work The City requires complete janitorial services at various City of Grand Rapids commercial and industrial buildings, including 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift cleaning schedules. The Contractor shall supply all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform the services as described herein. The Contractor shall be held responsible for maintaining the City facilities in such a manner that occupants and visitors are provided a uniformly clean, hygienic, healthy, orderly, and safe work environment within each facility, according to best practices and industry standards. The Contractor and Contractor's employees shall be required to provide a high standard of cleanliness and appearance at all times. The work shall include all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, materials and incidentals necessary to perform the janitorial services to the satisfaction of the Project Manager(s).
Special Requirements Any formal requests for clarification, questions, or additional information regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing no later than 2:00 P.M. EST March 29, 2016 to Kelly Criner, Buyer, 300 Monroe NW, Suite 720, Grand Rapids, MI 49503, Phone: (616) 456-3172, Email: kcriner@grcity.us. Any questions received after March 29, 2016 2:00 PM EST shall not be considered.

To ensure the highest level of service, the City desires contractors who have provided similar commercial & industrial janitorial services for a minimum of five (5) years.
